In March 2021, it will be 11 years since The 1st International Meeting on the Management of the Hip in Cerebral Palsy was held in Liverpool (read more about that meeting here).

 

The meeting will be entirely VIRTUAL held on Zoom and hosted by the APCP.

To recognise this anniversary and to celebrate the progress made over the last 11 years, the Cerebral Palsy Integrated Pathway National Network (CPIP NN) are pleased to announce another 'must not miss' event aimed at orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, paediatric neurologists, community paediatricians and all other health care professionals involved with the care and treatment of children with CP.

The purpose of this meeting is to examine the evidence, inform and update clinicians, share good practice, facilitate equity of care and identify areas for further research.

Issues to be examined will include:

• The history and development of CPIP.

• What is the current state of hip surveillance in the UK?

• How have things changed in the last 10 years?

• How can we secure funding? Impact of CQUIN in England

• The importance of the MDT when implementing a patient management system

​

Invited Speakers: Liz Gray, Laura Wiggins, Sarah Dewhurst, Gunnar Hägglund, Charlie Fairhurst, Mark Gaston, Lesley Harper, Heather Reed, Michelle Baylis, Elaine Hopper, Alex Gill, Helen Johnston and Rachel Rapson.

The meeting this year will be entirely virtual, held on Zoom and hosted by the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists. Next year (2022) we hope to host a face to face meeting in Liverpool.
